The short version

We collect as little as possible, store it securely, and never sell it.

What we collect

• Your email address — used only for login and password reset. It is never stored alongside your financial data.
• Your retirement plan data — the numbers and assumptions you enter into the calculator. This is encrypted before being stored and is not readable by us in the normal course of operations.

What we don't collect

• Your name
• Your address
• Your Tax File Number or any government identifiers
• Payment information (handled entirely by Stripe if applicable)
• Any data from third parties

How your data is stored

Your plan data is encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption before being written to our database. The database is hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia (ap-southeast-2). Data in transit is protected by HTTPS/TLS.

Who can see your data

Nobody at Aussie Retirement Calculator can read your financial plan data in the normal course of operations — it is stored encrypted. Your email address is held separately by our authentication provider and is not linked to your financial data in our database.

Your rights

• You can export your data at any time as a standard JSON file from within the app.
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at [email protected].
• We will respond to deletion requests within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the "last updated" date if anything material changes. We won't do anything surprising with your data.
